Founded by York (ME) High School varsity baseball coach Chuck Chadbourne, COASTAL RIPTIDE concentrates on skill development, mental preparedness, physical conditioning, and teamwork.

Working exclusively with players from U8 through U16, COASTAL RIPTIDE fields a limited number of teams to ensure the highest quality player experience. Our staff is focused and our coach to player ratio is the best on the Seacoast.

We believe town programs are an important part of each player’s baseball and softball experience and collaborate closely with these organizations to ensure both work in concert to support player success.

Our purpose is preparedness for competitive high school play and to develop players who thrive on and off the field – fostering a lifelong love of the game.

The Coastal Riptide Crystal Athletic Facility

The Coastal Riptide Baseball and Softball members currently train in the new Crystal Athletic Facility. Unique to the travel baseball training market, the CRT facility is owned and operated by the CRT ownership group. This allows our teams to train during times that fit our age-specific programs, as well as provides a  greater opportunity for small group skill-specific training with one or several of the CRT position coaches.  The CRT facility allows our staff to provide extended training opportunities through various mini camps or clinics throughout the year. ( Veterans Day Hitting, Turkey Burn Day Camp, Holiday 2 day mini-camp, February Snow Ball camp and the CRT summer baseball camp sessions )

Administration and club access are managed by Jana Doughty, who oversees practice schedules for all teams along with small group instruction cycles throughout the winter training months. Jana also manages club player/family access which allows players and family to access the facility for extended training or to simply go work out and “take some swings”.

The Crystal Training Facility provides its players with five batting tunnels all of which can be retracted to transition to open space for defense as well as space for pitchers/catchers workouts.

A parent viewing area ( Riptide Skybox ) offers our parents a place to enjoy a cup of coffee, watch the local sports on the Flat screen tv or simply watch the kids workout down below.

A small retail area, as well as a snack bar,  make the CRT home base as parent-friendly as possible.

To schedule a meeting at the Crystal Training Facility please touch base with Jana to see what CRT can provide your child and family.
